Hamad Town rioter's jail sentence reduced
Manama : A rioter accused of possessing firebombs, has had his five years sentence reduced to three by the Supreme Appeals Court.
The defendant was amongst two Bahraini men who were believed to have possessed firebombs with intention to use during sabotage acts.
They were initially charged with stealing and detonating gas cylinder as well as setting fire to a vehicle. The court then dropped both charges, though holding them guilty of possessing Molotov cocktails.
The two men landed in police net after police investigations found their involvement in a riot that broke out in Hamad Town, where a 25 member gang burned tyres using firebombs.
