Gulf Marcom Cup for Al Sammak
Manama : Isa Al Sammak emerged as the winner of the Gulf Marcom Cup, followed by runner-up Kadri Rizk, Khalid Qayoom third and Venkat Subramanian fourth. Bahrain Tennis Club (BTC) concluded two days of activities in Juffair at the weekend to commemorate Bahrain’s 45th National Day celebrations.
Events started with a tennis tournament on Friday sponsored by Gulf Marcom and patronised by BTC President, Khamis Al Muqla with 34 players in the fray.
Trophies were presented to the winners by Director of Business at Gulf Marcom Group, Abdulla Mannai.
On Saturday morning, club members took part in a 6km walkathon from Dohat Arad Park back to the club led by Al Muqla. In the afternoon, a women’s and a children’s tournament with 60 participants was held. Moroccan Ambassador to Bahrain, Ahmed Rachid Khattabi the guest of honour and Al Muqla presented trophies to the winners.
