Man jailed for planting hoax bombs
Manama : A Bahraini plumber has been sentenced to seven years behind bars by the High Criminal Court for planting four fake bombs in Jidhafs village.
According to court files, the Bahraini man was serving in Bahrain Exhibition and Convention Authority, and he got implicated in the case after his fingerprints were found in the scene.
The hoax explosives were initially dealt with as real ones, until bomb experts declared them as they are fake.
Prosecutors said that the aim of the defendant and his accomplices was to trigger panic amongst the area residents.
