Parliamentary forum to discuss food security, water issues
Manama : A parliamentary forum will be held to discuss food security and water issues in the Gulf Cooperation Council region, according to Speaker Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al Mulla. The forum will be held in conformity with Qatar’s proposal submitted and agreed upon at the 10th GCC Legislative Councils meeting.
Al Mulla also recommended Bahrain to organise a Gulf parliamentary forum on the youth, and the United Arab Emirates to host it.
The Speaker and members of the Executive Committee of GCC Councils also held a meeting yesterday and discussed the organisation of the forum and the formation of a preparation and coordination committee under the chairmanship of MP Khamis Al Romaihi.
