Man dies in work-site accident
Manama : A man died in a work-site accident in Salmabad yesterday after getting trapped in a baling machine.
40-year-old Anil Kumar, a workshop worker in Salmabad, was crushed to death after he reportedly entered the machine to clean it.
“He went inside the machine for cleaning assuming it was turned off. As he got in the machine sensors were activated and the machine started functioning. He tried to jump out but it was too late,” a source said.
The Interior Ministry has confirmed the death, Kumar’s brother lives in Bahrain while his wife and children live in India. According to the source, the company will make arrangements to repatriate the body to India.
