‘Let the nature speak’ today

Manama : With an aim to educate and motivate the local community on the importance of preserving nature and coastal areas, environmental activists in the Kingdom will hold an environmental programme at Barbar beach today.

The programme  under the slogan “Let the nature speak” highlights the necessity of making coastal environments in the forefront of the National Sustainable Development Strategies.  

Among various events include an art and photography gallery and free drawing corner under the supervision of artist  Abbas Almosawi. 

Dr. Shubbar Ebrahim Alwadai will deliver a lecture on the importance of social, environmental and biodiversity of coastal areas. The event also includes coastline cleanup in cooperation with the municipality of the governorate and Ocean for Contracting Est.  

Fadhel Habeeb, Ali Alshuwaikh and members of northern municipal council,  will be in charge of  the educational activities.   

The Northern Municipal Council, the Bahrain Environmental Society, Barbar Sports and Cultural Club will oversee the programme arrangements  in collaboration with the Alsalam Group 2000 and the Northern Area Municipality. Social, environmental and civil activists, voluntary groups and  amateur photographers will also take part in the event which begins at 8 am.
