Pleasure Bent gallops to win

Manama : Outsider Pleasure Bent owned by Mohammed Abdulrahman Al Jasmi, trained by Fawzi Nass and ridden by Darren Williams won the sixth and final race. The win was by two and a half lengths in the the eighth meeting of the season for the Al Hawaj Cup for imported classes of three years and upwards over 2,000 metres and worth BD1,500 by two and a half lengths yesterday at the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club in Sakhir.

Second place went to third favourite Tom Hark owned by Al Nasseriyeh, trained by Allan Smith and ridden by Sadiq Hameed, following a length behind in third by Telefono owned by Karrar Abdulhadi Ali Al Baqqali, trained by Taleb Ali and ridden by Robert Kharthi and in fourth by a short head was Prometheus owned by Ramadhan Stable, trained by Jaber Ramadhan and ridden by Jimmy Quinn.

In the other joint richest race for the Late Ebrahim bin Saad Al Romaihi Cup for imported handicap (0-95) three years and upwards over 1,600 metres, the winner was Dawn Mirage ridden by Abdulla Faisal, second place went to Equivalent ridden by Brett Doyle, with third to Ballyorban ridden by Hassan Al Saffar and fourth to Silversmith ridden by Andrew Elliott.
