Solving the Rubik’s puzzle

ManamaUnscrambling the tricky puzzle cube is not every one’s cup of tea, as it calls for tremendous persistence, determination and resilience to be successful. 

However, for Rashid Al Hajeri, a student of Al Bayan School, and a Rubik’s cube enthusiast, this is not a big deal. 

Following his passion, he has also participated in the Nancy Open Rubik’s Cube Championship, which had participants from all over the globe.

After his successful participation in the championship, Al Hajeri was welcomed by HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee to his office. The meeting was held in the presence of Abdulrahman Askar, General Secretary of Bahrain Olympic Committee and the student’s father. 

During the visit, Al Hajeri presented a fine display of his talent before Shaikh Nasser as he engaged himself in solving a tricky puzzle. 

Praising Al Hajeri, for his effort in the international event, Shaikh Nasser, on the occasion, instructed to give Al Hajeri the opportunity to compete in the World Rubik’s Cube Championship, which will take place in UAE.

Shaikh Nasser also instructed to provide all necessary support to help Al Hajeri prepare for the championship. 

 In this regard, Shaikh Nasser said the Kingdom strives to implement HM the King’s directives to fully embrace young talents and pave way for them to flourish and hone their creativity, so that they could play an integral part in the efforts for constructing ‘modern Bahrain’.  

Shaikh Nasser also pointed out that Kingdom attributes prime importance to talents and creativity as “they are an essential part of embracing young creative students.”
