Early Bird tickets for Formula One Grand Prix on sale

Manama : The highly anticipated launch of ticket sales for the 2017 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix will kick off today, the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC)  announced yesterday.

Tickets will go for sale from today with an ‘Early Bird’ discount of up to 20 per cent. The offer is available only until January 27, 2017, and it covers tickets to BIC’s Main Grandstand and Turn One Grandstand.

There is a 10pc reduction on ticket prices to the Batelco Grandstand, University Grandstands and Victory Grandstands. Children aged 12 years old and younger can get their tickets for half the price.

“The 2017 Bahrain Grand Prix is right around the corner and we can already feel the anticipation of the fans across the country. We are delighted to be able to offer them early access to tickets with our ‘Early Bird’ discount,” BIC Chief Executive Shaikh Salman bin Isa Al Khalifa said.

“We have been overwhelmed by the support for the Grand Prix over the years, but it is clear that the night race has brought in a new breed of racing fan to BIC.

He also urged fans to book the tickets soon as they expect a huge rush for tickets this season.

Starting today until January 27, 2017, ticket prices will be reduced by up to 20pc, offering fans the chance to snap up an early bargain for the race weekend.

All ticket prices offer three-day access to the Grand Prix weekend, which, aside from Formula 1, will include racing from other major international and regional championships.

In addition, BIC will be presenting its usual selection of family entertainment, including world famous recording artists, as well as music stars and extensive fun throughout the weekend.

The Bahrain Grand Prix is set to be the third race on the Formula 1 calendar for 2017 and it will be the fourth Grand Prix hosted under floodlights in Sakhir. 

With the previous night races hailed as the most enthralling and action-packed ever seen at “The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East”, the exciting build up for next year’s event has already begun. 

Only 110 days remain until the spectacular night race, which is scheduled for  April 14 to 16 next year.
