Family dispute: Man sets house on fire
Manama : A man in his sixties has been put on trial over accusations of setting his family’s house on fire after differences on how to distribute a heritage.
According to court files, the man went to his family house with two firebombs. He began shouting before pelting stones at the house. He then threw the bombs at the house which caught fire.
The man’s sister told prosecutors that her brother was angry with them because he wanted to sell the house after their father died so he could get cash. She said that repairing the house had cost them BD3000. The man has been charged with arson for putting lives at risk.
