Bahrain clinch third position in GCC Wheelchair Basketball
Manama : Bahraini team clinch third position in the Eighth GCC Wheelchair Basketball Championship which have concluded in Abu Dhabi under the patronage of HH Shaikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of Abu Dhabi Sports Council.
Bahrain competed under the slogan, ‘Persistence, Determination, Challenge,’ with a 52-47 win over the hosts UAE inspired by its captain Nabeel Hamad Al Dosari, who also won the ‘Three Throws Cup’.
HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Honorary President of Bahrain Disabled Sports Federation (BDSF), expressed his joy to the participants on their win.
Shaikh Khalid hailed the outstanding efforts of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee in the development of all sports in Bahrain.
