Directorate suspends 23 driving licences
Manama : The licences of 23 people involved in fatal accidents in November and December have been withdrawn, General Directorate of Traffic Traffic Culture Director said yesterday.
Licences of foreign drivers and 21 Bahrainis including a woman were cancelled for causing fatal accidents by careless driving which include jumping the red signal.
“The department took the legal procedures against the drivers shortly after the cases were reported and referred them to the Traffic Public Prosecution and then to the lower criminal court,” the director said.
He also called upon drivers to be cautious while driving and follow traffic rules for the safety of all road users.
