Racing thrills on offer at BIC
Manama : Motorsport fans are in for a treat at Bahrain international Circuit (BIC) this Saturday with a full day’s programme of racing thrills on the cards.
On offer to the public are the Open Track for Cars and Bikes, the Ultimate Track Experience passenger rides in a Clip Cup race car and SR3 prototype, and some 4x4 thrills in the Land Rover Experience passenger ride.
These activities will be held from 9am to 4pm along BIC’s 5.412-kilometres Grand Prix track.
Open Track Day allows participants to drive their very own road cars or motorbikes and can choose a full day drive, half a day or a 30 minute drive and those booking in advance will get a discount, also friends and family can also accompany participants at BIC and be a part of all the action as a passenger in a car.
In the Clio Cup and SR3 passenger rides, the Clio Cup ride gives fans a look into the racing capabilities of one of the world’s most popular sports cars and the Radical SR3 passenger ride will be conducted alongside one of BIC’s expert driving instructors, which can go from zero to 100kmh in 3.4 seconds.
Saturday’s activities are run to the highest of international safety standards, although participants will still be able to push their cars or motorbikes to their very limit. All vehicles must first go through scrutineering before being allowed to take to the track.
Meanwhile, the Land Rover Experience offers the public a 4X4 off-road adventure. Fans will be able to get into a Land Rover vehicle as a passenger while one of Land Rover’s lead instructors drives the course and last for 90 minutes.
All those taking part in any of Saturday’s activities must wear the appropriate clothing along with closed-toe footwear.
