Bahraini rider shines in Kuwait Endurance
Manama : Bahraini rider Rashid Al Ruwaie came in third place at the Al Mawrooth Al Shabi Youth Endurance Championship in Kuwait, featuring 72 riders from the GCC.
The race over 100kms was divided into four stages as Al Ruwaie from Al Wofra Stable riding Fireling, crossed the finish line at a speed of 22.44km/ph. Behind the winner Mohammed Al Mutairi (24.8km/ph) of Kuwait and runner-up Saud Al Maymoni (22.9km/ph) of Saudi Arabia who finished first and second respectively.
The event also featured a competition for female riders, with Kuwaiti Heba Al Yaesh (24.1km/ph) topping the podium, followed by runner-up from Qatar, Khulood Al Khouri with French rider Mary Betitent third.
