Huge turnout expected for Bahrain International Expo

Manama : Over 15000 visitors are expected to visit the first edition of the Bahrain International Expo next week at Bahrain International Exhibition & Convention Centre, according to its organisers.

The event scheduled from January 12-14 will include four exhibitions from technology, health, beauty and home décor sectors.

“We have 123 exhibitors from various countries and we expect around 10,000 to 15,000 visitors with around 5000 visitors everyday. The number could rise because this is the first time we have something like this. The exhibition is going to be the biggest of its kind in the Kingdom,” First Target CEO Yousif Dawood told DT News

“We have been hosting exhibitions in the past but we hosted them individually. We decided to bring few of the most popular exhibitions together so that it could be a better experience to the visitors. Health, beauty, technology and decor are something that everybody needs, so when they come to this exhibition they will find everything they need under one roof. The idea is to add convenience and save time and effort. This will be a unique experience for them in Bahrain,” he added.

“We have been working on this exhibition for about one year now, we have marketed this to many countries around the world. We have exhibitors from all GCC countries and also from other countries like Egypt, Thailand and India,” he said, adding that the Expo will be an annual event.

MP Jamal Dawood who has partnered with the event, said that the exhibition is a positive step in developing Bahrain’s business tourism.

“Bahrain is becoming stronger in the area of holding business events and exhibitions. Having foreign companies visiting Bahrain is
always good for collaborations and investments.” he told DT News.

Bahrain International Modern House 3, Bahrain International Technology Expo, Health and Beauty International exhibition are the exhibitions that will be part of the event. The event is being organised by First Target.
