Gulf Air begins count down for Colombo route
Manama : Gulf Air yesterday began its official 14-day countdown to the launch of the airline’s first flight to Bandaranaike International Airport, in the Sri Lankan capital Colombo, which will commence on 19th January 2017 with 5 flights per week.
In advance of the route launch Gulf Air Chief Executive Officer, Maher Salman AlMusallam said, “We are 14 days away from the launch of Gulf Air’s newest route services that will further strengthen our Asian network while extending our product and service offering to a broader passenger base. We are delighted to provide superior travel solutions that, supplemented by the support of our General Sales Agent Mack Air, will cater to the travel needs of our passengers.”
He also praised the partnership and cooperation between Gulf Air and its General Sales Agent Mack Air in Colombo.

Gulf Air will operate five weekly flights to Colombo with an A320 aircraft: On Tuesdays and Sundays, flight GF 136 will depart from Bahrain at 1250 (local time) and reaches Colombo by 2010. Meanwhile, flight GF 137 will leave for Bahrain from Colombo by 2110 to land in Bahrain by 0010+1.
On Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, GF 138 will fly from Bahrain to Colombo. Departure time is 2010 and arrival time is 0330+1. From Colombo, GF 139 will operate. Departure time is 0430 and arrival time is 0730. All times are Local.
