Social club to serve citizen’s needs
Manama : In line with efforts to provide best services to citizens, a social club providing top class services will soon be set up in the Kingdom, it was announced.
Minister of Labour and Social Development Jameel Humaidan and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Ebrahim Khalil Kanoo Group, Mohammed Ebrahim Kanoo signed an agreement regarding this yesterday in the presence of Fuad Kanoo, Talal Kanoo and Board Chairman of the Bahrain Parents Care Society Ahmed Mohammed Al Banna.
As per the deal, Ebrahim bin Khalil Kanoo Group will build the “Khalil Ebrahim Kanoo Parents’ Social Club”, a social day care club for parents.
Services provided will include regular medical check-ups, recreational trips and training on various skills.
The project is part of Labour and Social Development Ministry’s policy to deliver care services across the Kingdom through nine clubs.
The deal requires Ebrahim Khalil Kanoo to construct and furnish the facility at a cost of BD1 million.
The four-storey 629-metre club will be built on a total area of 2,000 square metres.
The project is expecting completion in about 18 months.
Commenting on the project, the Labour and Social Development Minister lauded the contributions made by the Ebrahim Khalil Kanoo group in the Kingdom’s development, and hailed the role played by the private sector here in improving public services.
Meanwhile, Mohammed Ebrahim Kanoo highlighted the group’s keenness to upgrade the services provided to the elderly, while commending the efforts exerted by Ministry in this regard.
