MPs urged to enact law to fight against terrorism

Manama : The Interior minister Shaikh Rashid has urged lawmakers to adopt legislation that would help security forces fight against terrorism and to toughen sanctions against those who attack security forces.

“Secure the best interests of the nation and citizens and coordination for the development of national projects to achieve security and stability,” he exhorted MPs.

The Chairman of the Council of Representatives, Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al Mullah welcomed the Interior Minister, expressing thanks and for briefing the council of the security issues in the presence of the head and members of the Foreign Affairs, Defence and National Security Committee, MPs, Deputy Interior Minister, General Inspector, Chief of Public Security and Interior Ministry Undersecretary. He lauded the efforts of the Ministry in the protection of the security and stability of Bahrain.
