Revamp of Sheikh Abdulla Avenue begins
Manama : Ministry of Works has commenced the revamping of Shaikh Abdulla Avenue extending from Shaikh Hamad Avenue to Bab Al Bahrain Avenue in Manama.
According to Roads Projects & Maintenance Director at the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Sayyed Bader Alawi, the project is part of the Ministry’s comprehensive plan to revamp roads and maintain traffic safety levels.
“The revamp of Shaikh Abdulla Avenue is considered extremely important as the avenue connects the Western part of the capital and the old traditional market (Suq),” he stated.
The BD179,330 project has been awarded to Bahrain Pipes Contracting.
