Bahrain won Best Arab Team Award
Manama : Bahrain Royal Endurance Team, led by HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, and Captain of the Team, received the ‘Best Arab Team Award’ at the Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum Sport Creativity Awards ceremony, held in Dubai.
Shaikh Nasser received the award from Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince, who was the sponsor of the ceremony.
The ceremony was held under the patronage of Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and the Ruler of Dubai.
“The achievement was made possible thanks to the team’s victory in the World Youth Endurance Championships, held at Chile in 2015,” Shaikh Naseer said.
President of UAE Olympic Committee Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of Jordan and West Asian Football Federations and also a large number of officials were also present at the event.
Shaikh Nasser reiterated that this accomplishment was the result of the constant support being extended by HM the King to the sports movement in the Kingdom, stating that winning this award wouldn’t have been possible without such backing.
