Bahrain condemns terrorist attack in Afghanistan
Manama : Bahrain has condemned the terrorist attack that targeted the guesthouse belonging to the governor of Kandahar province and in which the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Afghanistan, Emirati diplomats and the Governor of Kandahar were wounded.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs offered in a statement its wishes for a speedy recovery of the injured and praised the great humanitarian efforts of the UAE for the development of Afghanistan.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterates the solidarity of the Kingdom of Bahrain with the United Arab Emirates in its efforts to consolidate peace and security at the regional and international levels, as well as its support to the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in its fight against all forms of violence, extremism and terrorism," the statement said.
"It reaffirms the unwavering position of the Kingdom of Bahrain that rejects terrorism in all its forms and manifestations regardless of its motivations or justifications. It further calls for concerted regional and international efforts to eliminate this dangerous scourge that threatens all the countries of the world."
