Batelco, BTECH sign sponsorship deal

Manama : Batelco has signed a sponsorship agreement with BTECH (Bahrain Technology Companies Society) that will position Batelco as the strategic Partner for Meet ICT & Bitex 2017. 

The annual ICT event organised by BTECH and Worksmart is scheduled to take place from February 7 to 9, 2017, under the patronage of Kamal Ahmed, the Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications. The theme of the 2017 event, which will be held at the Gulf Convention Centre, will be Smart World Through Digital Transformation.

Batelco Bahrain CEO Muna Al Hashemi and BTECH Chairman Ubaydli Ubaydli signed the agreement during a meeting at Batelco’s Hamala headquarters.

“Through this agreement with Batelco, we reaffirm our commitment to further developing the exhibition and developing the ICT sector as a whole in Bahrain with the aim of making it a key contributor to the national economy, diversifying income sources,” Al Ubaydli said. 

The Meet ICT Bahrain event, established since 2009, will be a gathering of the top business and ICT professionals in one venue. 

Bitex, a technology exhibition held alongside the Meet ICT Conference will bring all ICT companies under one roof to display the latest trends in their field.
