1197 users benefit from E-service

Manama : Nearly 1197 users have benefitted from the Internal Tenders eService of the Works Ministry last year, revealed Information Technology Director at the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs & Urban Planning Hisham Sater.

Earlier, the Works Ministry, in coordination with the Information & eGovernment Authority, added the new service to the previous eleven e services available on the Ministry’s portal www.works.gov.bh and the national portal Bahrain.bh.

The service targets tenders between BD3,000 and BD25,000. 

“The Internal Tenders eService allows the companies to search and view internal tenders and get the documents for any new tender or buy copies of them. The service also allows them to receive copy of the documents obtained previously. Companies  can  electronically follow-up the new tenders on a daily basis, offer bids for the new tenders or learn further details about them,” Sater said.

The results of opening tenders can be viewed on the site every Monday, thereby sparing companies the trouble of visiting the Ministry in person.
