Attempt to murder; Man detained for 15 days
Manama : A man, charged of attempting to murder another person in front of Hamad police station has been detained by the High Criminal Court for 15 days.
According to court files, the defendant deliberately hit the victim with his car, before running over him. Though the victim suffered injuries to his chest, he survived the assault.
The defendant, in his thirties, said that the victim was in relationship with his wife, who had filed for a divorce.
He went to Hamad police station to file a case against the victim.
“He was having an affair with my wife, on account of which she filed for divorce. I met my son and he said that the man was beating him. So, I decided to report it to police. The incident happened when he came”, the defendant said.
