CBB announces new uncut currency sheets for sale
Manama : The Central Bank of Bahrain announced today that they will be offering uncut sheets of BD1 and BD1/2 banknotes for sale. These banknotes are of the fourth issue of the Bahraini dinar with a change in the position of the identification feature for the visually impaired.
300 sheets will be offered for each denomination, with each sheet containing 40 banknotes carrying consecutive serial numbers. The price for the BD1 sheet will be BD50/- and BD25/- for the BD1/2 sheet.
The sale will start on Tuesday, 17th January 2017, at the CBB’s Currency Issue Directorate, Diplomatic Area, from 9:00am to 1:00pm.
Mr. Fahad Hasan Al Arabi, Director of Currency Issue Directorate at CBB, stated that this will be the third time that the CBB is selling this type of uncut sheets of banknotes, which was hugely successful with money collectors and people interested in the Bahraini currency.
It is also worth noting that the Central Bank of Bahrain has changed the position of the identification feature for the visually impaired on all denominations.
