Premier urges further GCC cooperation

ManamaPrime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa yesterday called for  bridging gaps that may affect cohesion among Arab countries and to ensure the Arab interests are protected.

The Prime Minister stressed that Saudi Arabia and Egypt are two basic pillars in the Arab world, and stressed on strengthening, reviving and activating cooperation among Arab countries in the midst of the multiple challenges.  

HRH Premier made the statements while receiving, at the Gudaibiya Palace yesterday, Egyptian Foreign Minister, Sameh Shoukry, who extended to him an invitation from President Abel Fattah Al-Sisi and Prime Minister, Sharif Ismail, to visit Egypt.

Prince Khalifa also highlighted Bahrain’s keenness to expand cooperation with brotherly Egypt in various fields.

“The hands of the GCC countries are openly stretched to all their brotherly Arab and Muslim countries,” the Premier said.
