Citizen’s welfare crucial for development: Premier
Manama : Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has underlined the government’s keenness to adopt strategies that ensure optimal dealing with the requirements of the current phase and pave the way for a better future for Bahrain and its people.
While receiving Royal family members and senior state officials, at the Gudaibiya yesterday, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of directing all efforts towards building the nation and achieving everything that serves the Kingdom, improves the citizens’ living standards and attain gains that consolidate Bahrain’s leading status in various fields.
The Prime Minister also received at the Gudaibiya Palace yesterday, Thai Ambassador to Bahrain, Chayapan Bamrungphong, who introduced to him a delegation from the Thai Prince of Songkla University (PSU), led by its President, Chusak Lisakul.
HRH Premier hailed the advanced level of cooperation between the two friendly countries in various fields, especially education, through exchange of expertise and academic collaboration between educational institutions.
The Premier explained that Bahrain has paved the way for pushing the efforts to improve the level of education forward, and encourage investment in private education.
Prince Khalifa was granted a honorary doctorate in political sciences by PSU in 2009.
