Youngsters win Monday Madness

Manama  : The young Bahraini pairing of Ali Al Hakam and Ali Al Kowari (32.12 nett) won the second competition of the Coca-Cola Monday Madness Night Golf Series at the Royal Golf Club for a second consecutive week ahead of the duo of Dr Rajinder Sachdeva and Naeem Khan (32.375), while Atta Ur Rehman and Rehman Tipu (33.75) came in third.

Nearest the pin side contests on holes 12 and 16 were won by Ali Al Kowari and Rob Lane respectively.

Nearly 30 players took part in the pairs better ball stableford tournament despite the chilly weather conditions. Coca-Cola branded flags and banners were displayed around the Club’s Montgomerie championship golf course for the duration of the competition.

The evening was rounded off with a prize presentation ceremony in the Club’s Members’ Lounge where Adam Dutson, the Royal Golf Club’s Tournament Coordinator, was on hand to present the prizes on behalf of Coca-Cola.

The series takes place every Monday evening over nine-holes and is also open to non-members and tees off with a 6:30pm shotgun start.
