Murder of brother: Case hearing on Feb 9

Manama : The High Criminal Court  will hear on February 9, the case of Bahraini man accused of murdering his 22-year-old brother, according to Chief Prosecutor of Family and Child Prosecution Amina Isa. 

Jassim Mohammed, a  23-year-old is said to have stabbed his brother Mahmood Mohammed, 22, to death in Hamad Town in October last year. 

Child and Family Prosecution Chief Prosecutor Amina Isa confirmed in a statement earlier that “the suspect denied intending to kill his brother”, adding that he was detained pending further investigations. 

“The Public Prosecution received a notification from Northern Hamad Town Police Station that a person stabbed his brother to death using a knife after a dispute at their residence in Hamad Town,” she announced. 

 “A team from the prosecution was assigned to visit the crime scene and examine it, along with the body. The coroner’s report mentioned that the death was due to a deep wound in the chest, causing myocardial rupture, cuts to the left lung, haemorrhage and trauma,” she added. 

In the meantime, close sources to the family confirmed to DT News earlier that the brothers lived near roundabout 4 in Hamad Town. The reason behind the dispute was not clear. Jassim has denied the charges of permeated murder filed against him in the prosecution’s interrogation.
