Public Security top in league

Manama : Public Security Red defeated Asian Lions by 69 runs in the HBL Premier League organised by Cricket Bahrain Association (CBA) at the Hunainiya Valley in Riffa.

Batting first, Public Security Red made 129 with Yar Mohammed (31) top scoring and in reply, Asian Lions were dismissed for a paltry 60 runs.

BCC defeated Lanka Lions by eight wickets in another fixture after the latter managed 140 with Roy (55) top scoring with Qasim Zia picking up three wickets.

In reply, BCC reached the target losing two wickets with Rizwan Baig (64) being the main scorer.

In another match, Public Security Blue defeated Titans by three wickets after the latter set a challenging score of 188 runs with Faizan Khan (64) leading the way with Ibrahim picking up three wickets.

Public Security then reached the target after losing seven wickets along the way thanks to a good knock by Kashif Hameed (48) with Nawaf Shareef claiming three wickets.

In one other match played, BCC A comfortably beat Khan CC by 43 runs after scoring an impressive 204 runs thanks to a fine knock by Imran Butt (56) with good support from Ammaduddin (51). 

In reply, Khan CC finished on 161 with Saqib (48) the main scorer and Sarfraz the pick of the bowlers with three wickets.
