GCC Committee to convene
Manama : Supreme Council for Youth and Sports deputy general secretary and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) board member and Women’s Sport Committee chairwoman Shaikha Hayat bint Abdulaziz Al Khalifa will chair two meetings for the GCC Women’s Committee of the Union of Arab National Olympic Committees over this week.
Joined by BOC, Arab Relations head Mohammed Al Zayed, Shaikha Hayat will first travel to Sharjah today for the preparatory meeting for the Arab Women’s Clubs Tournament organised by Sharjah Ladies Club next month.
Late on, Shaikha Hayat will head to Doha to attend the GCC Women’s Sport Organising Committee meeting, in which discussions will be brought up as well as other arrangements for the Fifth GCC Women’s Games, due to take place in Doha from March 7 to 17.
