Kingdom vows stronger US ties
Manama : The Kingdom pays special attention to its strong ties with the United States of America and looks forward to a new phase marked by more progress and prosperity, said Minister of Foreign Affairs Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa.
The Minister expressed his faith that the ties between the Kingdom and the United States of America will further develop in cooperation with the new US administration led by President Donald Trump, affirming that these relations will consolidate the countries’ shared interests in ensuring peace and stability in the region.
The statements where made yesterday as Shaikh Khalid received United States of America’s Ambassador to the Kingdom, William V. Roebuck.
“The US is in the best position to identify mechanisms and procedures to combat terrorism, protect its citizens and ensure its national security in the face of global terrorism,” the minister stated.
On his note, Ambassador Roebuck stressed on the need to bolster the strength of the relations between the two nations and reiterated his country’s commitment to further developing these ties.
