Hobday leads Audi cup

Manama  : The first round of the Audi Quattro Cup Series at the Royal Golf Club was a closely fought affair that saw MENA Tour player Sam Hobday (36 points) edge out the competition to take the honours, just ahead of runner up Ahmed Majid (35) and Saqer Al Noaimi. Gordon Bennie won the 2’s Club on hole 12 and Peter Mutti won on hole 16. A field of over 30 players turned out to do battle at the Royal Golf Club despite strong winds and chilly temperatures.

Winners of the Bahrain tournament will have an opportunity to go forward and compete in the World finals, which this year will be held at the prestigious Quivira Golf Club in Cabo San Luca, Mexico, in December.

With over 100 players competing in 750 tournaments in 54 countries annually, the Audi Quattro Cup has developed into the biggest worldwide amateur golf tournament series.
