IFAS - Thyagaraja Aradhana

Indian Fine Arts Society is organizing the eagerly awaited annual event  ‘Thyagaraja Aradhana’, homage to  one of the greatest composers of Carnatic music, Saint Thyagaraja. The event will be held on Friday 6.30pm   at the Bahrain Society of Engineers auditorium.  

A group of dedicated musicians residing in Bahrain will present the traditional Pancharatna krithis, his most famous and scholarly contributions to Carnatic music. This will be followed by ‘Naama Mahima’ a thematic presentation of select krithis by the saint composer. The krithis chosen for the thematic presentation elucidate the importance and glory of chanting the name of the almighty which leads us in the right path clearing all obstacles to be in unison with the ultimate all pervasive divinity.

The singers are Indu Suresh, Dr.Priya Krishnamoorthy, Sangeetha Ramprasad, Suma Unnikrishnan, Priya Sethuraman, Krithiga Ramprasad, Bhama narayan, Ramya krishnamoorthy, M.R. Siva and Krishnan Hariharan. They will be accompanied on the violin by Rajagopal and on the mridangam by Sajith Shankar.   The event is open to all.

BAHRAIN ANNUAL FINE ARTS EXHIBITION 43

The Bahrain Annual Fine Arts Exhibition, in its 43rd edition, celebrates the creativity and ingenuity of the local artists. Every year, the art community gathers to present their finest work, uninhibited by a subject or theme. The result is a colorful display of styles, techniques, through different mediums of expression. 

Taste Tour

Time: Based on each restaurant’s operating hours

The ‘Taste Tour’ will return this year and will include a total of 29 participating restaurants. Participants will be able to sample dishes and vote for their favorite restaurants. They will also have the opportunity to win An Infinity Q50 car from YK Almoayyed & Sons as part of a ‘The Taste Tour’ raffle draw.
