Batelco to phase out fixed SMS service

The fixed SMS service available from landlines is no longer in demand due to the industry shift towards mobile communications and the growing use of social media channels. Batelco’s Mobile SMS service, which is widely used, will continue to be available with a number of Batelco’s top value mobile packages including on-net texts messages as part of their great benefits.
