Drag and Drift Night returns
Manama : Motorsport enthusiasts return to action tonight for the E K Kanoo Drag and Drift Night at Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) in Sakhir, bringing two of the most popular forms of motorsport together in one event.
The meeting calls on drag racing and drifting enthusiasts to take their cars or motorbikes and push them to their limit while in a safe and controlled environment.
BIC’s world-class quarter-mile drag strip, which is a member of the prestigious National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) Worldwide Network, will play host tonight’s drag racing; while the drifting will take place along a special course along BIC’s car park.
Both activities can be enjoyed for a single fee of BD10. Participation in just the drag racing or just the drifting costs BD7 and registration can be done on site from 5pm, with action from 6pm to 11pm.
Those who would like to experience the drag or drift as a passenger can do so for an additional BD4 and spectators can watch all the exciting action for BD2 apiece.
Also as part of the drag racing programme, BIC will be offering the immensely popular Dragster Xperience. This is one of the circuit’s most unique and ultimate activities, as it gives participants a taste of pure speed as they are taken from zero to 100kph in just one second while seated in a Top Dragster. The Dragster Xperience costs BD40 per person. Safety standards of the highest level are followed at all times throughout the evening’s events for both drivers and spectators alike.
