Manama: The first-ever Bahrain Sports Day will be celebrated in the Kingdom tomorrow.
The Day promises to be a packed programme and covers all parts of the country in an attempt to promote sport and health-enhancing physical activities.
More than 10 ministries, four governorates, 28 sports federations, national and expatriate sports clubs in addition to the youth centres will all deliver a multi-sporting event on a single day.
The sporting festival is organized by the Bahrain Olympic Committee in cooperation with the Youth and Sports Ministry.
Organising committee chairman and Southern Governor Shaikh Abdulla bin Rashid Al Khalifa thanked His Majesty King Hamad for his continued support to sports in Bahrain, leading the nation to massive development in all areas.
It’s worth mentioning that the 2017 Bahrain Sports Day will be organized in compliance to the GCC National Olympic Committees Presidents’ decision to have a single day of sports and entertaining activities in all over the Gulf and is open to both citizens and expatriates of all ages.
