Premier lauds Bahrain Defence Force
Manama : His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has extended his greetings to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander, and HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander, on the Bahrain Defence Force’s Day (BDF). Chairing the weekly Cabinet meeting at Gudaibiya Palace yesterday, HRH the premier lauded the crucial role played by the BDF.
“BDF’s establishment, preparedness and development into a protective shield that defends the nation and safeguards its progress, security, stability, achievements and gains have always enjoyed the royal support,” HRH Premier said. HRH the Prime Minister also hailed BDF Commander-in-Chief and affiliates, voicing pride in the BDF’s preparedness, cutting-edge weaponry and modern equipment.
Turkish President visit
Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, will visit Bahrain at the official invitation of HM King Hamad. Welcoming the President, the Cabinet said that the visit is within the framework of the brotherly relations and cooperation between the two countries. The Cabinet has wished the distinguished guests and his accompanying delegation a happy stay in the Kingdom.
Award
HRH Premier has welcomed the announcement of the “King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa Youth Empowerment Award” at the UN headquarters, describing the award as a noble initiative that serves the UN sustainable development goals and the international development priorities on which all member states had agreed in 2015.
