Pakistan fraudster cheats Indian job seekers
Manama : A jobless Pakistani man reportedly pocketed BD45,000 from Indian job seekers under the pretext that he would recruit them in Gulf Air, according to court files.
Of the 135 people who were allegedly duped, 15 were from Bahrain. The 29-year-old defendant claimed that he was serving as an HR Manager in a company and he had the authority to recruit employees. He requested money from his victims, but they eventually discovered that it was a scam after the amount hit BD45,000.
“I was giving him the money of those who wanted to work with Gulf Air. And then I discovered that he was only a cheater,” said a statement by a victim.
The defendant was ordered to be detained for 15 days.
