New look Nasser 10 on way

Manama : The Nasser 10 Ramadan Tournament will be different in all aspects this year, by holding many events and tournaments accompanying football.

This was announced by HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee. 

He said, “The Nasser Sports Tournament will complete its first decade in the holy month of Ramadan. Since its launch, we had paved a clear path for its growth and development as a distinct national project that contributes significantly to the advancement of sports in the Kingdom, and the discovery of more sporting talent capable of joining clubs and national teams, which became evident through the outputs of this tournament.”

Shaikh Nasser further added, “The Nasser Sports Tournament has reached the tenth edition and must offer something new this year. We directed the tournament’s organising committee to hold early and continuous meetings in order to thoroughly study those ideas and proposals that had been presented, and to settle on a group of sports competitions that enrich the tournament in its first decade.”

The High Organising Committee of the tournament  held a meeting headed by Tawfiq Al Salehi, Head of the Committee, in the presence of Hassan Ismail, Deputy Head of the Organising Committee, representative of the Bahrain Football Federation; Ali Majed, Tournament Director;  Tariq Al Arabi, Managing Director of Club Affairs, Representative of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs; Hisham Al Balushi, Director of Sports Federations at the Bahrain Olympic Committee, Representative of the Committee; Fawaz Shamsan, Head of Bahrain TV sports Channel, representative of television; Hussain Alderazi, Head of Media Committee; Hamad Ali Hussein, Head of the Committee of Ceremony and Closing; Isa Thawadi, Head of Stadiums and Services Committee; Yusuf Budahesh, Head of the Stadium Organising Committee, and Ibrahim Al Zayani, General Coordinator and Secretariat.
