Bahrain to boost ties with Russia

Manama : His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister yesterday met Dennis Manturov, the Russian Federation’s Minister of Industry and Trade, at Gudaibiya Palace yesterday.

During the meeting, His Royal Highness stressed Bahrain’s aspiration to further expand the trade and economic ties with the Russian Federation, highlighting the commercial successes created as a consequence of wide-ranging agreements between the two countries. HRH Crown Prince went on to note Bahrain’s commitment to maintaining an open, competitive and sustainable business environment, which has already proved successful in attracting strong levels of international investment, including from Russia.  

HRH Crown Prince emphasised the importance of the visits by His Majesty King Hamad to the Russian Federation and the exchange of visits that followed, which have facilitated the development of Bahrain-Russian cooperation across a range of vital sectors in the past.

HRH Crown Prince noted both countries’ shared commitment to reinforcing and expanding commercial relations and bilateral partnerships, while also highlighting the importance of GCC-Russian relations to the regional economy.
