ManamaA Bahraini entrepreneur has received a prestigious international award.

LalaBella Events and Flowers Founder and General Manager Nahla Al Mahmood received the “Super Achiever Woman Award” at the Annual World Women Leadership Congress and Awards, held in Mumbai, India, recently.

Jury members said that Al Mahmood was awarded for her outstanding career performance and series of achievements and growth potential setting up a standard for young entrepreneur ladies who are looking up to her as a role model from the Gulf region, adding that the promising growth she seeks is achievable and realistic.

Al Mahmood is a dynamic and innovative marketing and event planning professional with around eight years of experience in social, cultural and corporate events.

She founded LalaBella Events and Flowers in early 2013, presenting a unique experiment to her clients by organising annual fashion exhibitions, planning luxurious baby receptions and weddings, in addition to flower, chocolate and gifts arrangement services.

Al Mahmood’s ambition didn’t stop her from developing, as she aims now to establish the first international flower school in the Middle East, in collaboration with civil society institutions such as the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) and the National Initiative for Agricultural Development (NIAD). She currently began hosting a series of flower workshops in the Kingdom since 2015, cooperating with reputable international flower institutes from Holland, the US and Turkey.

“It is a great honour to receive this award and represent my beloved Bahrain among all other international lady achievers in such a prestigious congress. My sense of responsibility towards the society has always motivated me to give more through my contributions as an entrepreneur in different fields,” Al Mahmood commented.

“In Bahrain, we have so much that requires support and attention, including events industry, floral arts and entrepreneurial programmes. My greatest drivers are the responsibility of being a role model to all young ladies in the same industry and entrepreneurs in general.  To whom they look at me as a successful woman in such a young age with many achievements. This award is a proof that our hard work and dedication have been noticed and it will sure be a great encouragement and to pursue more awards in the future,” she said.
