Court to hear murder case on March 29

ManamaTwenty four men, including a former parliamentarian accused of murdering two police officers and financing a terrorist organisation will hear their fate on March 29. 

Two police officers were killed in a bomb attack on a bus carrying officers from the Sitra police station. 

Six other officers sustained injuries.  

Prosecutors are accusing Hassan Isa, a former MP, of providing financial support to the defendants to carry out their acts. The defendants have been accused in connection with the bomb attack. 

They have been indicted for forming and operating a terrorist group against the law as well as murdering police officers, attempted to kill six other police officers, possessing explosives, detonating a bomb, training on using weapons and bombs for terrorist purposes, according to Ahmed Al Hammadi.  However,  only twelve of the defendants including Hassan Isa are in police custody as the rest of their co-defendants are still at large.
