HRH Premier receives senior officials

Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa affirmed that the information revolution and technological development have removed barriers between countries and peoples, and had positive impacts on the economic, social and political aspects, but imposed challenges and risks of misuse, especially regarding terrorism.

Receiving a number of senior state officials yesterday, HRH Premier affirmed that the Kingdom has succeeded in keeping pace with the information revolution, and made major strides regarding technological and information development, urging to use social networks in a way that supports national unity and preserves the Bahraini social fabric.

He also commended the efforts exerted to enhance cyber security.

The Prime Minister stressed the importance of safeguarding national unity amid the rapid technological developments and widespread use of information technology, which, he said, are used for terrorist purposes by terrorists, praising Bahrain’s achievements in this regard thanks to the vigilance of those in charge of national security without compromising personal freedoms or private affairs of individuals.

In another context, HRH Premier highlighted the government’s keenness on consolidating the development process through the implementation of strategic and vital projects that are included in the Government Action Plan.
