KHCB names $200,000 Al Waffer winner

Manama : Khaleeji Commercial Bank announced Manal Khalid Yaqoob Kamal as the first Al Waffer account grand prize winner, with a prize money of USD 200,000. 

The draw took place at the headquarters of the Khaleeji Commercial Bank at the Bahrain Financial Harbour.  

Mazen Salman Sater, Assistant General Manager for Retail Banking handed the grand prize to the winner.

On the occasion,  Khalil Ismail Al Meer, Chief Executive Officer of Khaleeji Commercial Bank said, “This year’s edition offers 6 grand prizes for which draws are carried out every two months, in addition to the monthly cash prizes.”

“The bank’s management has decided to reduce the minimum amount to enter the draw to BD25 from BD50, allowing customers to double their chances,” he added. 

“The 2017 edition of the ‘Al Waffer’ will give chance for one lucky winner becoming a millionaire, with the value of the sixth grand prize to be drawn at the first week of  January 2018”, Al Meer added.

He also said that in April 2017, one of the loyal ‘Al Waffer’ account holders will win a furnished two-bedroom apartment in Amwaj Islands, while the winner of the third grand prize in June 2017 will enjoy a monthly salary of BD 500 for ten years. 

The company announced that in August 2017, the fourth Grand Prize winner will receive a luxury Porsche Macan, after which the fifth Grand Prize winner will pocket an amount of USD 200,000 in the month of October. The winners of monthly cash prizes will also be announced and rewarded.”

In 2016, the ‘Al Waffer’ Account presented six Porsche cars in addition to five prizes worth USD 100,000 each.
