Abbas Yousif takes Showjumping title

Manama : Abbas Yousif (55.52 seconds) of Shakhoora Riding Centre riding Indurado wins grand prize of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, Showjumping Championship which featured two-time trial phases with obstacles of 130-140 cm in Sakhir.

In second place was Basel Al Dosari (41.70) of Saar Riding School and Sami Mohammed Ghazwan (41.94) of Ghazwan Riding School with the winner making four faults and eighth each for Al Dosari and Ghazwan.

Elsewhere, Ahmed Al Alawi (38.19) of Al Alawi Stable riding Evelyn won the second adult class after beating Hani Al Yabis of Hawar Stables and Ahmed Akbar of Alessi Horse Pride, who finished in second and third respectively over obstacles of 115-125 cm.

Meanwhile, the first class for adults was bagged by Maayof Al Romaihi who also won the first competition for junior class competitors and the second junior class won by Ahmed Al Hashili.

HH Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) crowned the winners of the Chamapionship.
