Man wanted in Bahrain detained in Germany
Manama : A wanted terrorist in Bahrain has been detained in Berlin, German media reported yesterday, saying the detainee is a 27-year-old man wanted by Bahrain for terrorist acts.
A spokesman for the Berlin prosecutors’ office said the Bahraini, whom he didn’t identify, was detained in the German capital on Thursday.
Several German dailies reported yesterday that “a decision about the man’s extradition will be taken by a judge”. The authorities here didn’t comment on the news. However, Chief Prosecutor Ahmed Al Hammadi has stated that a new 54-member terrorist cell was busted, explaining that the movements of the terrorists to other countries were coordinated by one of the cell leaders based in Germany.
