Parliament approves interrogation of Health Minister
Tunisian Foreign Secretary of State for Arab and African Affairs Touhami Abdouli said the internal security of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, particularly Bahrain, is of great concern to Tunisia, rejecting any form of external interference in Bahrain’s the internal affairs.
“Tunisia is looking forward to developing relations with the Kingdom of Bahrain at all levels,” Abdouli said.
He said discussing regional and international issues with Deputy Premier Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa and Foreign Affairs Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa was the main objective of his visit to Bahrain.
He added that he presented the Tunisian views on a number of Arab issues, including the situation in Yemen and Libya, and also in the Syrian issue.
With regard to his country’s stance towards the situation in Yemen, he said Tunisia expressed support for Operation Decisive Storm and Operation Restore Hope as they reflect joint Arab determination.
He added his country agrees to the establishment of a joint Arab force.
He pointed out the invitation to the Foreign Minister to visit Tunisia in June, and the organizational aspects of the Arab Economic Summit to be held there.
He said he met Education Minister Dr. Majid Al Nuaimi, and discussed the possibility of benefiting from Tunisian expertise the in education sector.
He valued the care provided by Bahrain’s leadership to the Tunisian community, which reflects the social convergence between the two people.
He noted his country is determined to eliminate terrorism and restore security and stability. The Tunisian official commended the Algerian and Libyan cooperation in confronting terrorism.
