National goals through harmony
Executive-legislature cooperation necessary: HRH Premier
Manama
His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa said that the government was looking forward to a comprehensive cooperation with the National Assembly on all issues related to the national action march.
“The government develops and implements plans and programmes, and the Council of Representatives monitors its performance. It creates a harmony in the work of the two branches that enables them to achieve national goals, particularly those related to development, security and stability,” he said.
He made the remarks as he received the Speaker of the Representatives Council Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al Mulla and Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh, in the presence of former Speaker Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Dhahrani and a group of MPs and Shura Council members at the Gudaibiya Palace yesterday.
HRH Premier expressed confidence that executive-legislature cooperation would become stronger as the two sides share the same goals. “Such cooperation is a necessity required by the situation prevailing in the region and its effects on regional security, stability and development.”
“The people of Bahrain loves the homeland and are dedicated in its service. Actions that are alien to the nature of the harmonious and homogenous Bahraini society only represent the perpetrators, who are rejected by the Bahraini people,” he commented.
On regional developments, HRH Premier called on the International Community to step up cooperation to combat the extremist ideology, which fuels terrorism and makes houses of worship places to shed blood of Muslims, something that is totally rejected by all divine religions,” HRH Premier added.
