Shura Council condemns Iranian hostilities
Manama : The Shura Council has praised the security agencies vigilance and high readiness posture, following the dismantling of an Iran-backed terrorist cell and arresting its members who were about to carry out political assassinations aimed to destabilise the Kingdom's security.
The Shura Council expressed its appreciation of the efforts of Interior Minister Lt-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, his prompt follow up and issuance of directives that thwarted the terrorist plots which targeted not only Bahrain but also all of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)-member countries.
The Council condemned the recurrent hostile Iranian misbehaviours aimed to undermine Bahrain's security, incitement of sectarian strife, backing and training and harbouring fugitives listed by the GCC states as terrorist groups, reasserting the importance of compliance with international law that incriminates such acts which are deemed an utterly objectionable form of meddling in the Kingdom's internal affairs.
